Phelps Baptist Church
OUR MINISTRIES
Phelps Baptist Church is committed to sharing Jesus Christ and growth in Him.
Next Steps:
2) Be Baptized
Baptism is a step of obedience as the Lord commanded. (Matthew 28:19) Baptism is an outward expression of what has taken place inwardly. It identifies the believer as a partaker of Jesus' Death, Burial and Resurrection. (Romans 6:3-4) Baptism is for believer's and is by immersion. (Acts 8:35-38) Baptism does not wash sins away or provide a way to heaven. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
3) Become a Member
Phelps Baptist Church expects its members to strive to live as the Bible says every Christian should. Believers were committed to the local church in the New Testament times and should be today. Members should strive to: *Safeguard (Protect) the unity of the church body by loving others (Ephesians 4:29) and following leadership (Hebrews 13:17)
*Share the responsibilities in prayer, telling others about Jesus, welcoming new people, and serving wherever needed.
*Support the church by attending faithfully (Hebrews 10:25) and giving (1 Corinthians 16:2).
4) Serve/Volunteer
There are numerous ways and opportunities to serve the Lord. Some things to keep in mind are: having a servant's heart and showing love to others, developing and using our God given gifts and talents, and being equipped by receiving instruction and training,

1) Believe on Jesus as your Savior
*All people have sinned against God and this sin separates us from God.
(Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23)
*Jesus took care of this sin problem by dying in our place, being buried and rising again. (Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
*God invites all people everywhere to turn from their sin to the Savior Jesus Christ to be saved from our sin and have a new life in him. (John 3:16; 14:6; Romans 6:23; 10:9-10)
