OUR BELIEF

We believe that the Holy Bible, as originally written, was Divinely inspired.

     2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:19-21

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the three in one, one in essence and attributes, yet distinct in office and activity.

     Exodus 20:2, 3; 1 Corinthians 8:6

We believe in the personality of Satan, the unholy god of this age.

Matthew 4:1-3; Revelation 20:10; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 6:11,12

We believe that the material universe, including man, came into being by direct creation by the Word of God, and not by evolution.

     Genesis 1:1; Colosians 1:16, 17; John 1:3

We believe that man was created in innocence, but fell by voluntary transgression; that because of this fall all men are now sinners by birth and must be born from above to be fit to fellowship with God.

     Genesis 3; Romans 5:10-19

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man.

     John 1:1, 2; 1 John 5:20; Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:26-28

We believe that the salvation of the sinner is wholly of grace and made possible alone through the vicarious death of Jesus Christ upon the cross of Calvary; that there is salvation in none other, and that all that is necessary for salvation is an acceptance by faith of his finished work.

     Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5-7; Romans 10:9-13

We believe that justification includes pardon for sin, the gift of eternal life, and a perfect standing before God.

     Exodus 23:7; Acts 13:38, 39; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:24; 5:1

We believe that the local church is a congregation of immersed believers, associated by covenant of faith and fellowship in the Gospel; that the local church has the absolute right of self - government and is answerable only to the Holy Spirit, her Administrator, and the Lord Jesus Christ, her Head; that in all matters of membership, policy, discipline and beneviolence the will of the local church is sovereign.

     Matthew 18:15-17; 1 Corinthians 1:2; 6:4,5; 7:17; 1 Timothy 3:1-15

We believe that there are two church ordinances - baptism and communion; baptism is the immersion of the believer in water.

     Acts 2:41-47; 8:36-39; Romans 6:35; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost; and that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God.

     John 5:21-30; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Revelation 7:9-17; 20:11-15

We believe in the personal, visible, pre-millennial, pre-tribulation return of our Lord for His Church and in His post-tribulation return in glory to judge the living nations.

     Revelation 19:11-21; Matthew 25:13-18; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:42-58

We believe in the thousand year reign of our Lord upon the earth, ending in apostacy, and the Great White Throne judgment of the wicked.

     Revelation 20:1-7; 20:10-15
